Sore knee...exercises for helping it?

Hope this is the right forum! I fell off my bike maybe 2 months ago. I kinda twisted my knee a bit in the fall. I had it x-rayed, and there was nothing broken or anything, just a bit of damage to the muscle which swelled it up a bit. I was told to rest it for a week, which I did. Lately it's been getting sore again, not painful, just uncomfortable. I live in Berlin and the weather can get quite cold here, so I'm guessing that has something to do with it.

What I'm wondering is whether there are exercises I can do to reduce the discomfort, or any general advice would be nice :)

    Thanks

Go to the doctor to get it checked out.

Maybe stabilizers would be an idea for xmas :)

Know of a few people who have had success with countering knee pain by performing squats (with thighs parallel with the flow, or slightly lower). But as Arky said, could be worth consulting your doctor.

Get a physiotherapist or the German equivalent to check it out as ligament and meniscal damage does not show up on an x-ray.

Performing exercises without knowing what your problem is may exacerbate rather than treat your problem.

    Best of luck
