OK, I am just about ready to print my first photo book, I am a little concerned with Blurb printing my images darker (which has happened already)
Cant find the printer profile on their site and think its time to look at other options. I am not even sure if the printer profile would help as my machines are calibrated and everthing works here and with my local printer.

My main concern is that the images are as close to the files supplied as possible. and obviously general quality of the book.

Any advice appreciated and I have search here but it seems that the chosen supplier of photo books change from time to time.

So what has been your experience ?
    Again any advice appreciated.

    Sunny

61 views and no one working on a book or printed one in the past few months ?

Need to make a decision what company to go with and soon.
Experiences with non blurb books anyone ? or blurb for that matter ?

    Anyone ?

Hia Sunny, well after seeing the boards book I do agree blurb prints darker, simple solution is to brighten images. I have used mypixmania myself in a few formats, I have gotten the white and black standard books, I love these, the pages are not quite as high quality as blurb it appears but they print perfect to my eye anyway. I have also used black and white in the glossy page (these are the prestige and luxury books) I have to admit I am not mad on the white. I think it would only work with bright colourful images lots of scenery and flowers etc. The black is quite cool, I like it again though the high shine of the gloss makes it slightly harder to look at than the matt version. The thing that is better though is that the glossy books are washable photo paper so they will last for a lot longer. For the price though you can't go wrong. They do always include a logoed page at the back though if you were looking to buy one and sell on you'r have to remove this, the only way being to cut it out.

    Hope this helps.
