My two year old doesn't sleep.

I have a two year old little girl, who is suffering from night terrors. They're like nightmares, only worse. Does anyone has or had the same problem, if so, any ideas what to do. She only sleeps on the sofa, which means I have to sit beside her all night. And as I am currently expecting another child I need to get something done fast. The doctors say that it's only a faze and she'll get over it, but it has been four months now and there is no change. Any advise at all would be greatly appreciated.

Have you tired changing her room around and the position of the bed ?
Have you tried a night light ?
Have you checked how the tempature is ?
Have you tried to ask her about the dreams ?
