Hey guys, I'm getting two AT4040's from America when my aunt is over there. It's probably a stupid question but does anyone know if it will be the same as say a mike from Europe, like will the phantom power be made to draw power differently or anything? I just want to make sure i'm not blowing my money.

shouldnt be a problem. shure are an american company and i presume they make the same mics for american and european markets.

the 48volts is what the mic can draw from the source anyway. not whats sent automatically to the mic.

dont take my word as gospel though, im not 100% shure (!!!).. see what i did there :-)

Yeah there's no issue at all with phantom power.
The only thing I would see as an issue is if you got something like the rode classic II's where they have a power supply for the mic, pretty sure they have a voltage switch on the back of those anyways.
