Just wondering what size tanks are actually in cars. I have 3.2 L Pajero with what is supposed to be a 90 L tank but recently I've gotten 91 L into it. Now I know it's not a good idea to completely empty a tank but at some point we've all done it so what is the most "over fill" we'll call it, you've got into your tank.

That extra 1 Litre is probably the hose connecting the fuel tank to the filler flap.

My Cooper S is 50 Litres, but it has a drink problem. :D

Mazda 3 MPS 55 Litres, I have never let the tank go empty but im sure my tank is shaped like an upside down pyramid!! when I fill it do the max it takes about 40 miles for the guage to drop even slightly and then when the guage is showing about 3/4 left it seems to go into freefall with no dramatic change in the way I drive! does anyone else notice this?
