While doing a little brotherly research I came across this little Gem http://j-walkblog.com/index.php?/weblog/comments/when_science_meets_bacon/

"Scientists have created a mathematical formula of how to make the perfect bacon butty. Experts at Leeds University discovered the secret to the ideal sandwich lay in how crispy and crunchy rashers were"

and I have to say whatever about the science behind it, it looks damn tasty! So what makes up your perfect rasher sambo!

On a side not I also came across this USS_Rasher.jpg I give you the USS Rasher!:D It's a real ship :p

I don't think they're formula has been tested scientifically at all. They'd need a sample set roughly equivalent to the number of Brothers and a set of control circumstances (standardised serving women, consistently chilled beers) for this to make it past peer review.

Make it happen eggheads, make it happen.

They should extend thier research to the perfect condiment to accompany the sambo....but that will probably lead to the Chef Vs Heinz debate.

    Science fail...
They found that two or three back bacon rashers should be cooked under a preheated oven grill for seven minutes at about 475 F. The bacon should then be placed between two slices of farmhouse bread, 1cm to 2cm thick.

This may spawn the BG&RH Institute for the Generation of Advanced Slovenly Studies; in otherwords, we will be conducting BIGASS studies.

Scientific research at BG&RH Institute for the Generation of Advanced Slovenly Studies shows that a rasher sambo is not complete without an accompanying Flavourer Upperer (a new term coined by the institute).

Disclaimer: Some or all of the above may not be true

Four researchers at the Department of Food Science spent more than 1,000 hours testing 700 variations on the traditional bacon sandwich.

1000 hours? All they had to do is ask any of us!

Mind you, genius work, getting funded to eat rasher sambos for 1000 hours :D
