hey lads just put down a new timber floor in my bedroom and have been throwing darts, but i get some bounce outs up and down and there hitting my new floor.

the long rubber mat is not really a option as the darts tend to go either wide left or right, any ideas?.

Maybe a few square carpets like foot carpets for wiping your feet

plant them side by side back to just before the oche line

nout much more you can do really

A couple of cheap Rugs is your best option. You can put them down when you're playing and then just take them up when your finished. That's what i do in my apartment that has wooden florrs and it works fine.

I'd give up the darks ....they'll never stick in the light !!

    <wakka wakka wakka>

Carpet is your best bet......go with the shag baby ....yeah !!

Get yourself an Unicorn Eclipse Pro board (I do not work for Unicorn), can't recall much bounce outs if any.

Yep, the unicorn or winmau pro boards should limit bounce outs to almost none. Switched to a winmau blade 3 recently and the difference is huge.

Unless you're as unlucky as I am and keep hitting the wire around the treble 20

thanks for the replies lads,am using a striker board.and if you ask me anything i think there a load of crap.

go 4 the pro board, thinner wire and far less bounce out.
also keep ur darts pointed as if any way blunt ull get more bounce 2.
    cheers wayne

I was in a pub recently and the floor was runied with dart marks. Its not alway the fault of the board. Some will bounce no matter what you do.
There should be a stylish mat extension that looks the part.
Mind you, most pubs can afford to replace the floor covering every now and again. Even in those times.

roof lights are the best to use, one slightly to the left, one slightly to the right, should eliminate most shadowing

thats the setup in my shed

I large mat (6 x 3) will probable catch most of the stray ones and it looks ok also.
