Downloaded it. Seems quite excellent. On a par with the Windows version at least. I can't quite justify switching from transmission except for my familiarity with it from windows... I'm just glad it's here finally :)

Read a few comments about this on other sites. General consensus: very nice, but too late - Transmission has become #1 on OS X. I'd have to agree with that.

everyone always loves transmission for mac, but i always had trouble with it. Id get the ports open, but after a few days theyd be blocked again and no matter what i did it wouldnt work.

Vuze always did worked no hassle. But might try out utorrent, i used to love the windows version

I used utorrent on windows, but have since switched to Vuze on mac. I don't really see much of a different tbh, so long as it works!!

Does it require leopard to run it?

I'm sticking with transmission for now, utorrent mac beta is still very under speced compared to the windows version...but when/if they rectify that then it will definitely give transmission a run for it's money.

I'll have to give this beta another proper run once private trackers allow it, to see how it stacks up in terms of connectivity.

As sedohre said, it requires leopard, but that's just for the beta build. The full release will be available on Tiger too, afaik.
