Hi, i just bought the this gun and its only shooting about 255-270. Is that right or is there something up with my gun. I know that gbb dont shoot high fps's but is that right. Thats even less than my stock tm G17. It says that it shoots 315 on airsofteire which is where i got it from.

theres a few things that can effect the FPS, the BBs you use would be one, making sure the barrel is clean, most are manky out of the box. then theres the temperature, try letting the magazine heat up beside the radiator and see how it goes then.,
Gas powered guns dont like the cold very much.,

Are you using propane, green gas or the 134a stuff?

You will get the best results from green gas overall. Propane gives a tiny bit more power, but has no silicone oil mixed into it.

Im using green gas. Im only shooting it in my warm room so that shouldnt lower it by that much should it. Maybe i just need to use a new bottle of gas. It has about a few fills left. Ill try clean it etc and see.

the gas doesnt work very well below 11 degrees, it might be more than 11 degrees in your room but when you are filling the magazine the gas drops in temperature immediately., then after you take a couple of shots of it, it cools pretty quickly., fill the mag and then leave it near a heater, then chrono. dont over do it by actually leaving it on a really hot surface or anything, at the very least it might ruin the seals on your magazine.,

Have you removed the slide and sprayed silicone oil in all the moving parts? I had low FPS and major power inconsistencies with my KSC M11 when I first used it, silicone oil sorted that problem out.

Now that you mention it i havent siliconed all the parts, but i did open it and it seems very well lubed even slightly oozing with oil from the fire selector. Also when i release the slide using the slide release it moves forward kind of slowly instead of a fast clunk like most gbb. Is it suppose to be like that on the usp .45? The slide release hasnt anything to do with the power does it? Thanks for your helps anyway, im sure ill figure it out someway!

    Nope.

(I have the full size KSC model with plastic slide, also bought from them and its grand, I haven't chronoed it, but based on observation its the same as two or three other pistols I have and they're all over 300FPS.)

No, but something restricting the movement of the slide may be responsible.

A slow moving slide will deffo affect the performance of the gun. Spray the slide rails and the inside of the slide with silicone oil, then manually draw and release the slide to work the silicone in. This should free up the slide movement and increase the power.
