    hi all
we just want your view on the above said we,re renting a house in tramore and have had a few strange goings on in the house the first being my girlfriend woke in the middle of the night and could see a light smoke in the room but got up in a panic thinking something was on fire to find that it was only in our bedroom, i experienced the same thing the same night as i had to be up early for work, then the weekend before last she went from our room into the spare room and she saw the bedroom door close as she went to walk back into our room, even though the windows were closed.
we both feel uneased in the house, i,d like to hear some of your views on this!!

Some of the views will say its not haunted, some will say its most likely not haunted and no one wills ay it 100% is haunted. Based on what you describe I would say it could but no reason to panic. I read a book before called "Relax, its only a ghost" and I tend to think that way.

I'd suggest getting the house blessed by a local priest if that fits in with your belief system. If you want someone with experience to check it out then there are people who do that - note you should never go near a group or individual who asks for payment.

i wouldnt go as far as even blessing the house - thats really just for the placebo effect. Stand back and take a look at things logically and rationally. If you are still a bit spooked, leave out a tape recorder or a video recorder - if only to assure yourself nothing is happening. If you do pick up something on tape then at least you'll be able to back up your thoughts with something others can listen to/see and be able to give you feedback on.

The main thing, in the words of douglas adams, is Don't Panic. Sometimes if you convince yourself your place is haunted then the slightest noise ends up as being evidence when in reality there could be a thousand explainations.

I actually had one of my first paranormal experiences as a kid in a holiday home in Tramore . What was great there were 7 witnesses .

It isn't worth worrying about. The priest thing is a waste of time as well - as an OP said it is merely a placebo no matter what a priest will tell you.

I have had a lot of experiences like you describe and never bother about them. Spirits often come back to the earth plane for a look around - especially if they were happy in an area or property.

I have actually been looking for the name of it for a while . I can describe it . Its a row of houses all linked together . The middle house is alot taller the the others . Its about 3 floors . At the back of the houses is crazy golf . And in the basmement on the far right house is a games room for kids .

We stayed in the middle house with the 3 floors .

I know people who grew up in Tramore and their house looks out over the cliff and they firmly believe the house is haunted. They say historically, ships have sunk off the coast there and they believe that is how their house got haunted.

like a lot of people i sometimes know when the phone is going to ring even at times who will be on it- but i think the strangest thing that happend to me to change my life was about 30 years ago , i took my wife and son to scarborough in the uk-when walking down the main street to the beach i had flash backs of a dream i kept having over the years ,it was about being in a pram as a baby being pushed down scarborough main street by two victorian ladies one who must have been my mother at that time and one who was very young;the young one kept running across the road to the shops, i know i did not want her to leave me ;the date at that time would be about 1840s-now i do know i had never been to scarborough before in my life;i know this dosent seem important by itself;but when you hear the next story you will see where i am going; about 10 years ago my wife and i used to go for a drive every sunday around the yorkshire dales- one old village i liked to stop at was haworth ; famous for the bronte family;i at the time who was born in war time had never heard of the bronte sister or even their books; i dont know why but something made me want to go into the parsonage museum/the moment i walked inside i was overwhelmed with the sad/happy feelings i was getting .i dident look at very much i was just glad to get out of there --a few day later i started to have bad dreams i dont even know what they was about except that the name anne kept sticking in my head;i took another look at the bronte thing and i find anne was one of the bronte sisters;so the next time i went to haworth i went back into the parsonage to find more about anne bronte-and i find she loved scarborough in fact so much she is buried in the church there--as a young lady she would spend time with friends in the town--i knew my connection was with her--this is only part of my bronte story but before i write more please tell me what you think
