you can spend the day doing what you really want to do if you just let yourself. if you woke up on your day off and were to sick to do anything all the stuff would just have to wait. if you want a free day take it and enjoy it..things will get done...eventually

You're doing it wrong! Days off are glorious moments of self-realisation. An empty canvas upon which you can paint your identity through 48 hours of freedom. If that canvas should largely involve porn, soiled kleenex, jizz, 8 to 10 hours straight on AH and at least 15 cans of beer then mores the better.

Days off are great and need to be honoured. What's the point in taking a day off if you are gone to running around  There are special days for what you described and they are called sick days!!

I have tomorrow and Monday off and I plan on doing absolutely nothing and enjoying every second of those days.

    Days off are great!

Neither do I, but they are handy when you've stuff to do and don't want to take a day off. It's almost worse than being sick!!

I work harder on my days off than I do at work (and my job is mentally and physically demanding), between school runs, doing housework with a toddler running under my feet, sorting out fights - I can never wait to get back to work.
