World of Warcraft: Lich King blank realm selection screen

I upgraded from WOW Burning Crusade to Lich King yesterday. However, when I logged in with Lich King for the first time after downloading the software, I notice that the realm selection screen is blank. Has anyone else encountered this problem and know what to do in this situation? The WOW forums are down.
