Before I even write this post I'm aware that this is prob a very basic/stupid question, but I've searched t'internet and previous posts on boards etc and still need to ask!

I moved flat recently, went to set up ntl in my new place but they don't service this apartment block. Tried sky and it seems pretty expensive to install and connect (87 bucks with sky, free with ntl when you order online), so I've been looking for other tv providers but can't find any! I'm living in Co. Dublin and only looking for the basic stations (no reception with rabbit ears unfortunatley :)), is this true or am I missing something blindingly obvious....??

If you can put a dish up, have a look at freesat. You get a dish and decoder (not sky) and get a good few channels.

You think 87 bucks is expensive for a sat install, It takes a lot more effort to install and provides a lot better channel choice and better picture quality. Furthermore you get to keep the equipment for freeview after 12 months if you decide to cancel your account, whereas with NTL you are only renting the equipment and have to return the equipment when you cancel your account...
