Hows it going? Just a quick question. I'm living in Cork and looking to take up some form of grappling, but I don't know which style to try. I'm looking for something which trains both stand up and ground grappling. I was going to try sambo recently, but I think the classes down here have stopped. Can anyone tell me which of the above styles would be most suitable. Thanks a lot.

Also, can any one suggest any good clubs which train any of these in cork. Or preferably a club which trains MMA (as a full unit, rather than bjj one night, thai another etc) Thanks again.

Best way to find out which one you prefer is to try them all. I do bjj and judo myself and would love to do sambo and wrestling if I had the time and the energy.

There's also judo and bjj in blackpool in cork, based in the sunbeam business park.

I know there's a judo club in balincollig and I think there's one in Mayfield.
If you do a search for those terms you should find some more information.

    Good luck with it.
