    might be repeating myself here.....but,,,

    how about this?

    71pfns.jpg

German version of Mk3 Cortina (Taunus TC1 ..1600GXL fastback coupé))

good nick with scope for improvement

    LHD of course

chassis and mechanicals and other bits same as Cortina.

actually yes it wouldnt be too onerous if you had a donor Mk3.....the chassis is the same its only the outer bits (all of them!) that are different.

    Is the dash similar?

    ya but no but ya

i don't think i would fancy the lefty or the conversion job

the thought crossed my mind to get a mk3 capri if the mk3 cortina doesn't materialise.

my timeframe is between now and feb. to find one,so i have some time to keep looking

however i might call back your country and have a look at that white one though,i might change my mind

the dash is similar but not exactly the same.....it looks the same at first glance but is slightly different...you'd have to see it to realise what I mean

    oflynno,
If the Taunus doesn't work out, friend of mine has a 1974 Mk3 2000e cortina for sale, in Louth/Meath area. Haven't got a pic, but can get one if needed.
