Those Black Friday sales are always pretty woeful though!

Here's the thread for the one last year: http://boards.ie/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=2055191402

    Oh well

Maybe we will be lucky and something will have improved this year

    Cheers

Apple and bargain don't fit in the same sentence. They will rob you a little less for the day I suppose..........

    As an avid Apple buyer...

    LEAVE APPLE ALONE!

But you're right to be honest!

Just got notification about this years Black Friday
Click here for the special event landing page:
    http://store.apple.com/Apple/WebObjects/irlstore?node=campaigns/black_friday_teaser

This teaser page link will automatically revert from the teaser page to the Shopping event landing
page when it goes live on Friday at 00:00 GMT. Therefore, Affiliates can continue to use the teaser
page links on Friday and their sales will continue to be tracked. Apple will also provide the event
    landing page URL on Friday.

Ps we are not an affiliate (in case anyone is wondering ... :)

any idea what the discounts are? And does anyone know of any irish companies in the scheme?

Looks to be about 5% when you log in as Bank of America

You can put anything in the Company Name field (I tried "Nonsense Company"), and you'll see the same discount on the store.

Apple "reserves the right to verify the eligibility of participants", but a few years ago when I was in college I ordered through the Education store, which said the same thing, and they never looked for proof of the college I was in.

    Sale will be crap.

Anyone looking to buy an iPod Touch, check out Dabs.ie. About 45 quid cheaper there than on the Apple site.

Expect €85'ish off the macbook, don't tell anybody that I told you.

You'd get 3-400 euro off a macbook if you fly to the UK to an airport that has a Dixons 'tax free' (no matter where you're flying to).

well if the black friday sale is the same across the globe, it's nothing to look forward to... just looked at the apple store in Australia.. $21 off a 120 gb ipod... saving of about a tenner... pants!

€178 for 16Gb Ipod nano on apple with this sale. €170 on dabs.ie with no sale on. Doesn't seem like much of a sale..

€208 for a 120 gb Classic ain't half bad. Still, disappointing overall.

well comparing in this current climate when the rest of the shops are cutting about from 15% upto 40%.

apple is just "all the hype and no substance" type of sale.

I was aiming for apple ipod but given the amount of the discount I am not going to buy.If the times were good I would have bought.

For these recession times their prices still look very steep considering its a sale .
