    Hi all,

I will be travelling to Mumbai for about 4 days with work and wondering if I would need any of the travel vaccines that are recommended on the various travel sites?

I am getting a lot of conflicting reports from friends and family about whether I need them or not and of course any clinic I ring tell me to definately get them done.

Basically the trip is for approx 4 day's, working most of that time in an office over there and the local staff would be bringing me out in the evening for meals etc.

Anybody ever been in a similar situation?

    Thanks

I think it's best if you come home from there ;) if you have not gone, then stay home for a while, ;) Go to kerry instead :)

If it's a work trip get the jabs and get work to pay for them. How responsible an employer are they ? ;)

Based on current political climate there, see if they'll throw in a flak jacket.

Yes, 100% get them. You have no idea what it's like out there until you actually see it yourself.

I was there for 10 weeks. When I came home I had the Delhi-Belly for 6 months, and I got every type of shot possible before I left Ireland. Stay away from meats & milk(usually powdered). I got sick from both in 1st week, stayed off them for rest of holiday and was fine. Be careful with bottled water. Every small shop in India must have a resealable machine for bottles. I went to the bigger stores to increase the chances of decent water.
