Na, I think it's just called study week coz the library and computer labs and probably the staff keep to term time opening hours. No lectures like, it's up to you how you use the week

The study week is there for students to get onto lecturers before the hols. And an excuse for student nights out wouth no college!

Ya, its only like 2 weeks for xmas. Ridiculously long hols for summer though. If you include the month off before the exams.
