Does anyone know what those cameras on Amiens st are for? They are pointing onto the road, they look like fixed speed cameras or the traffic monitors on the M1.

    Traffic monitors.
It's an extremely busy street for traffic so a good place to have them

Just to be sure where on Amiens St? Which junction, it's a long street you know

The cameras the OP is refering to are at the junction of lower buckingham street i think, which arent shown on the map in this link.

Junction of lower buckingham street for the northbound carriageway. Im not sure excalty where the inbound ones are but close by afaik.

Their is 2 cameras and 3 plate reading cameras. Similar to fairview, malahide road and the M1. The guards can find people they are looking for with then afaik
