There's a rule for the blokes in my job, they can have a full beard or they have to have a clean shaven face, they can't grow a beard in work. The rule is they have to 'grow it on their own time' which means over their 2weeks holidays. But could you actually grow a full beard in 2weeks?

Some men have to shave twice a day so yes it is posible but dont expect a Ronnie drew type beard in two weeks .

I've actually been growing my beard for 2 and half weeks now. Its pretty close to a full beard, i'd say by the weekend it will be. There's a very itchy three day period after about a week. Once you get through that its plain sailing.

twice a day:eek:, jesus that must be a nightmare! But its a stupid rule, what is so offensive about stubble? Even if it is a little bit untidy looking to some people, it should be a personal decision I reckon

I've got a 1 week beard presently!
But I'm just lazy and couldn't be bothered shaving, I'll get round to it at some stage. :p

growing for about 3 to 4 weeks now my self, shorter and lighter around my checks and jaw, bit thicker around my chin and just below it, and still a couple of small patches with nothing

mmm, wondering is it worth it, or am i just never gonna grow anything impressive

tempted to grab the trimmer, the mach3, and take it all off at times

My beard grows very quickly. Even more so when on hols. After two days I can shape the beard with a blade. Clean now but like to keep a stubble. Need to get a new beard trimmer btw. When I have it I keep it very light, like a shadow effect. If I let it go for two weeks it would be very full/heavy.

that sounds like a terrible rule...but then again, if you had to meet clients in your job i guess it's fair enough

i've got gary neville type facial hair so once every two days is fine for me

My dad shaves twice a day, if he's got a meeting in the afternoon he uses the electric razor at lunch, he can grow a full beard in a week!

    I'm heading the same way!

Well if I had to deal with that rule, I'd probably not shave three/four days before the holiday, in which case it would look almost like a full beard by the end of the two weeks off, then trim to shape and thus accentuate the beardyness.

Yup, if you leave it for a few days and shave the neckline it looks much better. It looks more like you're intending to grow a beard rather than being lazy. :p
