Wiki Software - working offline

    Hi all

At work we have a wiki hosted on a linux box that is not getting as much use as it could.

As we all travel a lot with work one option I was thinking about is to have an option to download the wiki, use it as a reference guide if required and make changes / edit / create new articles off-line. We could then synchronise the off-line copy with the on-line versions incorporating the changes when we get back into the office.

I believe this is possible as I have caught references to it, but I can not directly find any software or how to guides. Does anyone out there know what wiki software can be used, and where is best to go for some guides to. It needs to be open source, and linux based would be better but windows will do.

All help is greatly appreciated. My apologies if this should be in the open source forum, but this seemed a better fit.
