Hi all, just wondering if anyone can help me out, I'm looking to do some model shots, going urban edgy kinda style so wondering if anyone can recommend some places that are good without being too rough for a couple of girls to go take shots.

I@m thinking one location will be my local skate park, possibly in or around Temple Bar also.

Also if there are any locations between Dublin and Mullingar that may be of interest.

There are a couple of locations that they use for band photoshoots just up from the pond.

Yeah something that can come across in a kinda dark emo sort of way I think. Similar to an Avril Lavigene style I think, pretty punk!

Thats the feel I'm getting from the model anyway.

done to death (i think) but unless you've done it yourself then it might interest you - the back of windmill lane studios (graffiti backdrop) and just across the water from that, grand canal docks area (urban decay and modern setting about 200 yards from each other).

Maybe around Cuffe St. (between St Stephens Green and Kevin St.). Plenty of old style flats for backdrop (clothesline on the balcony type of thing afair) but don't wander too far off the beaten track.

If no suggestions are fitting with the plan maybe pick an area on the route that would suit, then hit tag search on flickr and pix.ie as well as google images to see what looks interesting.

oh I see, well I dont really think she ois either but she seems to be what the teenagers are basing their punk style on. All manufactured. Oh my god I cant believe I'mhaving a conversation about her, she irritates the hell out of me since I saw her t4 interview where she basically stuck her nose up at the presenter.

Thanks democrates, never though of it that way really, good idea. Flats as backdrop sound cool, I suppose just at the entrance to stephens green car park.

Phoenix Park might be an easy enough one.
Lots of scope there - long grass, streams, weird trees, roundabouts, the cross...

    ...actually, maybe not.

Maybe though - Ashtown Castle, around the magazine fort, tearooms, bandstand, etc.

They're great spots Hugh thanks. My cousin had promotional shots for her album done with a background very similar to the first and they looked amazing. Before my time as a photog though.
