    *only a proof of concept*

    http://www.codeweavers.com/services/ports/chromium/

Codeweavers have ported Google Chrome to Mac OS X, for intel machines only.

Lags a bit on my Macbook, Ill think I'll manage with Opera till the proper native release!

Nice idea, but it's not a very good port given it's slow and a bit buggy.

I'm more surprised that Google haven't released it yet. It still won't drag me away from my firefox extentions though :)

you still need crossover to run it though right?

pretty pointless if ya ask me, i'll wait to the official mac release which hopefully isn't too long away.

They can keep it, as far as I am concerned. It's a Safari rip off at best and has been known to cripple many XP and Vista based machines, such is it's power consumption.

Unless Google officially releases a Mac-native build, the Codeweavers one is simply not it... not worth it IMO and even if Google does release a native build, I'm not convinced I'd be inclined to use it just yet.

Regardless of whether or not an actual mac version comes out i dont think i'll be tempted to leave safari. I have used it though and i guess its nice enough.
