I'm attending counselling to try and feel better - not helping much at the moment but something the counsellor said has me confused I overanalyse so much so that i dont know what my instants are and cant answer the following question

Do you think you and your ex should get back together ?

my response is i dont know she said that I need to figure out what my instants are and the more i try the more i overanalyse??

so how do you undo overanalysing ? or know what your instants are ?

    ----weird or what!!!

Not trying to take the píss here, but are they not things you should be asking your counselor? Off the top of my head what is the very first thing that pops into your head with that question? I presume that's what you're looking for.

Rejoice in the awareness of feeling stupid, for that’s how you end up learning new things. If you’re not aware you’re stupid, you probably are.

Maybe you are not giving yourself enough time to think about the question before answering.
Would all depend on why you and your ex parted in the first place!!

Not trying to take the piss either, but if your problem is that you over-analyse then you probably shouldn't post on a forum to analyse!!
