Screen Actors Guild strike again

    looks like another actor strike is on the cards. The timing is obviously to put pressure leading into the awards season.

    It was the writer's who went on strike before.

    It has very little to do with the awards season.
    It's happeneing because the Actor's Guild and the Director's Guild's contracts with the Employer's Union are about to expire.

    I doubt there will be too much feet dragging - the screenwriter's strike was important because it set the agenda for the other guild negotiations.

    The Director's Guild only took a few days to negotiate their contracts - they're fine and not on threat of strike.
