u dont really get creatine "shakes" as such. its just powder. personally id just go with the powder, into a glass of water and its tasteless! capsuls may be handier, i dunno, bt far more expensive im geussing.

obviously caps are easier to carry round and take and stuff, but theres no real difference in quality as long as theyre both form reputable supplement companys.

if its creatine monohydrate, its creatine monohydrate, regardless of whether its in capsule or powder form. same goes for any type of creo

cappacino flavour, whey protein by IDS. 40 euro for a 5 pound tub. free delivery from universalnutrition.ie

ive gone through tubs of it and its the best quality for the best price out there

You get better bang for you buck if use powder rather than caps.

I can highly recommend Strawberry or Vanilla whey protein from ON or Reflex.

Most top athletes in Ireland use ON or Reflex.

you cant really speak for 'most top atheletes' dude!
ON is regarded by a good amount of irish bodybuilders as 'having had its day'. theres much better quality out there now in terms of whey protein

IDS do a brilliant whey.its an isolate (im pretty sure ON isnt) and it has 24 grams of protein per scoop (as much as any of the good proteins, if not more).youll find its much cheaper that ON and the taste is pretty damn good too!!

Damn that actually is a really good price, is IDS their own brand or something?

ya theyre a fairly unknown brand in ireland but have grown in the last year.
they do a good range of products, including waxymaize which ive found excellent.
youll find both products on universalnutrition.ie

as far as i know, nutritionconnection.ie dont stock them but i could be wrong

I can't speak for bodybuilders but I know for FACT that many of Ireland's top sprinters use ONLY Reflex and ON.

ON is a whey isolate and also offers 24grams per serving.

Never used IDS but it sounds like a good product. When it comes to supplements i firmly believe in "you get what you pay for"

What makes you think that reflex and on are better than any other protein powder? Are they putting something extra in that we haven't been told about? Your FACT is pretty pointless tbh, and even moreso for the average user of this forum, who isn't a top sprinter and doesn't need to train or eat like them.

fair enough, it is a great product and has won plenty of awards, but if you want to pay an extra 20 euro for it, then be my guest!
protein isolate, is protein isolate, and 24 grams is 24 grams!

ya id be that way inclined, except with muscletech products....rip off!!they talk the talk but do now at all, walk the walk

Not here to create an argument. Only offering an opinion on the topic.

seriously, you can't go around saying things like "most top athletes" without some kind of backup. There are a lot of top athletes in Ireland, and "most" means > 50%. I'd be very surprised if > 50% of any large group insist on a specific brand of isolate.

I wonder what brand of chicken "top athletes" eat. I hear O'Kanes gives you 0.3% more muscle than Manor Farm ;)

I can only imagine some might prefer a brand which has some sort of extra guarantee of not being contaminated with banned substances, or else they just like the taste, the reason most have brand loyalty to foods.

Dudes calm it ha cheers for all the info.. any good websites to get good diets and workouts etc ! I would make my own but I wouldnt know where to start plaining a diet ha!

And whats maximuscle promax protein like?? there all really the same arent they??

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 331 ✭✭quirkster

universalnutrition.ie is very good and helpful for that stuff.

man....stay well well well away from promax. not only will it burn a hole in your pocket, it contains feck all protein, gives very bad wind and is not even considered to anywhere near the other protein supp's available in terms of quality.

your much better off getting some IDS Whey protein or some other good valued whey.
