    Cheers.

    What are you looking for?
Shuttering Plywood is the cheapest, then WBP, Marine even more expensive. Then what thickness, eg, 4mm up to25mm.
Any of the major builders providers carry everything from 4mm up to 18mm

I'm not sure but I think I'd only be looking for about 3mm. It's for building a model plane on. I need to stick pins into it to hold parts of the models in place.

If shuttering plywood is the cheapest I'd say it will do. How much would you be talking per sq. metre? If they didn't have 3mm I'd just go with 4 then I'd say.

Shuttering Ply would have a crap finish for a model , WB has an excellent finish, esp Beech finish. 4mm is the thinnest i've come across, but if you need something lighter, i could machine it down for you. (no charg)

Thanks for the offer. I don't think the surface would matter that much as long as it was truly flat as I then stick plans over it and then build the plane by pinning the balsa wood over the plans. The plywood underneath would allow me to penetrate pins slightly to hold the balsa wood in the correct place over the plans.

Does plywood come in standard sheets or do you get it cut to order? My worktop is 914mm x 1442mm.

    Thanks for your help.

    Usually 8 ft x 4 ft sheets,( 2.4 x 1.2.) But the 4mm can sometimes be got in 6ft x 3 ft.
This ply is super smooth, and quite light and strong.
