As the festive season approaches, teh wimmins of BGRH are turning their attention to that perennial question - what to get a Brother for Christmas. As part of our Public Service remit, I am therefore providing this thread as a reference source for our beleaguered wimmins.

So, what is the ideal gift for a brother?

I'll get the ball rolling with the Beer Chair (that "beer" in the picture does not come with it). That, coupled with the R2D2 projector has to be the ultimate Christmas present for a Brother.

Every day is Christmas for me.

    A rich inner life.

The gift that keeps on giving.

I should probably start a new thread for this, or go to gadgets but... I need man-advice, HALP!!

Crimbo-shopping for bike obsessed brother-in-law (30), and this is my best idea so far http://www.firebox.com/product/2189/Ducati-Desmosedici-RC-Bike - who would find that fun to play with??? He has some MotoGP scalextric thing but is always disappointed that he has to play it on his own... so thought this bike might be more fun??

    help!!! thanks :)

And what to get a borther to wear while he lounges in his beer chair ?
    Why a Slanket, what else.

The Slanket is a gigantic fleece blanket with sleeves. A very soft to the touch, lightweight, but warm fleece blanket with large, loose sleeves designed so you don't feel like you're wearing the blanket, simply wrapped up in its wonder. The Slanket is designed to keep your entire body covered and cozy while you still retain the use of your hands. Simplistic and practical, its innovativeness opens up possibilities, but still can replace any normal blanket.

That's what I was thinking. And I even have the haircut to match. Excellent.

And what does non-Piling mean? It doesn't give you piles?

Isn't that why it's the perfect present for a "brother" :D

Nothing wrong with monks, they make some of the finest beers and tonic wines.

Come to think of it...baldness, beer, comfortable robes, wanting peace from the wimmins...how are these guys not honorary members?

Means there is no fluff on it, so that you can rest your rasher sambos on your tummy while wearing it and not have any fluff stick to it.

It is available in a range of colors.

The lack of "one on one" action with teh wimmins disqualifies them.

This is definitely the present for the man who has everything! Aimed at the 'Busy Male Executive' is the Gentlemen's Ballscratcher!

For the days when your own hands are just not precise enough, the Gentlemen's Ballscratcher is in the shape of a delicate female hand for those hard to reach places. The 230mm (9 inch) handle provides excellent extra length to help get around difficult obstacles (beer bellies, old pizza, empty beer cans etc.) and provides the relief so many crave...

This quality silverware utensil is dishwasher safe, and has a stain resistant surface.

Presented in a high quality and weighty gift box.

A thread in Bargain Alerts struck me as the perfect, cheap present for a Brother.

    http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showthread.php?p=58054591&posted=1#post58054591

Now you know my preference girls. No need to bother wrapping it.

    I've called security about this.

They should be right outside his door now.

    *sound of tasers being discharged*

Best present for a brother would be a bottle of this and some coke

You could also use the ballscratcher as a fake hand for an optional Anakin Skywalker costume.

  • Registered Users, Subscribers, Registered Users 2 Posts: 47,351 ✭✭✭✭Zaph

Well actually the last reference before your post is to the robot thingy up further, and tbh there hasn't been any reference to anything at all on this thread for over 3 months, so  yourself.
