Hunting Scope

I am looking for a good hunting scope for my Tikka .243. For early morning and dusk shooting. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Cheap top-quality scopes here,and they send to Ireland too, if you ask them nicely they will describe the package as a second hand item so you'l escape customs tax, i got my zeiss 3-9x50 here and its brilliant for dusk and dawn shooting deer.

Purchased a new dawn to dusk bushnell 3-9x56E mildot reticle today, of a dealer €100 , he also had a Hawke 3-9x50 for around €120, things are as cheap here if you go searching, plus if you have a problem you can take it back, the internet is great but if something goes wrong what do you do.

Also came across a Lightforce 140gun mount lamp with dimmer switch for €125.

imo zeiss are a lot better than s&b, i have a zeiss on my .243 and its the clearest scope i have ever looked through my shooting buddy has a s&b on his swift very clear but the real test is just when it gets dark the zeiss is the clearer of the 2. im not saying s&b are bad there not they are a great quality scope but if i had 500 to spend i know what id go for.

What scope? This is a question that keeps comming up, there are loads of threads on this, such as this one a couple of weeks ago http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=2055405938

Could the mods put together a sticky called "Which Scope?" and combine a few of those threads, so that people get the information they need, without making some of us feel like its Groundhog Day.:)

Another suggestion for a sticky is "Which deer caliber?" from the multitude of threads on the subject.
