Got one too , the bowling alley is great, I can see HOME being a great hit for the PS3, all I need now is a pinball machine for my pad :pac:

Didn't get trying the bowling alley, I wasn't on the PS3 for long before I was usurped.
It'd be nice if they'd put in a few items into each of the stores but as it stands there's nothing there to purchase, it also would be nice to get an idea of what they'd charge for certain things.

Had a game of chess with somebody which was pretty fun, and you can go up to these big screens that are just churning out game trailers and posters advertising new games too.

Looks really well, the lighting is great and once it gets populated (although there were a lot of people just milling about) it'll really take off I think. It's nice to put a character to a PSN ID too.

hellboy99 if you see somebody just going to up to random people and doing the body pop or the robot, that'll be me

I took a few pics and videos on my phone if anybody wants an idea of what it's like I might get uploading them later. (I know there are pics on IGN etc. but I'm not sure about video clips).

I've had this beta for months now, i'd say at least 6 months at least, maybe even a year, gets pretty boring pretty quickly, its come on a lot tho since I first got it tho, maybe its just because it hasn't been very populated ever.

It's great for the first couple of weeks ,but it hasn't got a large number using it though.

Home is not a simple download ,it's linked with your account.
You can't download it from the store ,its only availbe under account management.

Thats the same place where you enter the code for any beta, the LBP beta keys went in there. You can give your codes to other people. The email address I got my key on is linked to a closed PSN account and I entered it on my new current PSN account that is linked to another email address that I set up a few weeks ago. The key is not linked to your account until you use it.

I never said anything about the LBP beta. The lbp keys were given out by third party sites and didn't have the same restrictions.
Home is given out by email address.

EDIT : Just checked out version one and the drm is different than previous versions. It can now be shared up to five times.

The version I downloaded couldn't be shared.

Be careful not to get banned from home ,it means you can't play online at all and you can't even log onto the playstation forums from a pc.

There's various things ,showing videos and pictures of home on the internet is one. Abusing people on home is another and a couple of other things come to mind.
I got a taste of a ban and even resetting the router didn't get around it.

So everyone knows, Sony are apparently sending out more Beta codes to EU gamers between now and Thursday, so fingers crossed a few more people might get one. And also Home Open Beta has been confirmed for before Christmas.:

Anyone who accepted/accepts the Home Beta invite is supposed to stick the the non-disclosure clause in the T&C or at least those of us in the closed beta were

People have been regularly excluded from the closed beta for discussing Home in any way outside of private forum discussions

1- A code can only be used once, if someone's already used it to try, you cannot use it too.

The current version of Home is v1.01 and was released to "Closed Beta" testers on November 21, 2008. The "Open Beta" will be available for download to the general public within the fourth quarter of 2008. In a Q&A session with IGN, published on their website on November 25, 2008, Sony Computer Entertainment America Director of Hardware Marketing John Koller described the release of Home as "imminent" and that he expects the public launch to take place before the end of 2008.[4]

It may be case sensitive. Also did you put a - between each of the four groups of letters. I'm not sure if it does that automatically.

There I was thinking it's a tiny download (77MB and then an update of 26MB) and then it says it needs to 'reserve' almost 3.5GB on the hard drive!? For a second there I was thinking 103MB was a bit strange :pac:

I typed it in with all caps locks, in each of the three boxes, than i was taken to the sceen with the download the home beta option, clicked download and it says "an error has occurred"

3.5GBs. Lucky I bought that 320GB drive so then. Waiting for it to finish downloading at the moment.
@Nedved - Did you check your internet connection. Also check your nat type as I think that messes things up for people if it's not one nat 1.

Is it supposed to say 'Initialising...' for a long time? Mine has been stuck on that screen for a while now...
