    Hi all
Just building my first media pc,
    I have a pvr150 from Hauppauge
    XP Media center
    Connected to a 27" LCD
    XBMC installed
    My Movies also.

    OK my issue
SKY Pace digibox with 2 scart outputs NO S-Video
    Scart to S-Video convertor
This works great on TV i have a clear colour picture and sound through audio cables,

When i hooked the s-video into the PVR150 the picture is black and white through MCE.

Any body know how to get the card to pick up the colour as the TV did.

Again the convertor is working as tested in the TV so i am at a loss.
    Thanks in advance

Are you sure the svideo worked on your tv. Composite uses 2 of the 4 svideo pins so composite would work with a svideo cable. check if your tv displays "svhs" on the screen. if it does then thats svideo. In MCE, try selecting composite as your source rather svideo. although you'll need a composite cable input from your digibox to your tuner card

Forget about s-video - the Pace box does not have an s-video signal on the SCART output pins. Just set you pvr-150 to capture a composite signal instead of s-video and you'll get colour recordings.

yeah, but using a composite/rca cable. Not an svideo cable.

Absolutely. Not sure about the PVR150, but my PVR250 has an s-video in port which is used for both s-video AND composite capture. So, I have a SCART to composite cable from the STB and then the composite video is plugged into a composite-to-svideo adapter that came with the card and then its plugged into the PVR250. I then tell the capture software (I'm using MythTV) that its a composite signal and everything works!

My Pvr150 has both ports. Using the svideo capture won't capture composite as far as I can remember for the 150.
