good price but how many clubs, is it 3-pw or 4-pw etc and it sounds like an on line deal? how much for shipping? Who will stand over the fit? i.e. should the specs be wrong or not suit?:p

Gotta say not a bad price, landed still under 700 inc shipping, the free wedge is a real kicker. as I said my only concern for ya would be the issue i mentioned with who stands over the clubs...... as i've said before I work in the trade and the amont of guys I get in who get clubs over the net and summit goes wrong with them or they don't suit for whatever reason. the cost of shipping them back for alteration can be very costly and some ties not that practical, at least your local shop or pro will stand by the fit and product, I know its a minor issue but it can be a problem, :p

It does seem a good price.

He has offered me the same deal for Mizuno MP-57, 52, 67, 62.

I was looking to get the 57's originally.

I have to call there tomorrow so I was ask plenty of Q's about returns & refunds if they are not what I was expecting.

I hear that more and more online purchases form abroad are being hit with VAT at point of entry.
There was a time when having an item posted got around all of this.
It must be a government directive.
The international couriers alway declared items to customs.

    Hi Zillmere,

Looks like a good deal to me. One thing I noted, if he's offering you an extra wedge I'd recommend taking the Gap Wedge (or Approach Wedge as you've called it).

In time, you are far more likely to opt for a Vokey or Cleveland Lob Wedge or Sand Wedge as a growing majority of serious and semi-serious players are doing. Having a Gap Wedge in the exact same spec as your irons (length and lie) is a great benefit.

Also, as someone who lives in a house with 3 fairly serious golfers who all use +1/2 inch clubs, I can tell you that all of us have standard SWs and LWs. Maybe getting them upright will suit you but adding a length to your shortest wedges can do more harm than good in our experience.

In contrast, having a Gap Wedge matched up to your set would be great IMO.

This will give you a little bit more insight, including feedback from a few guys who also use longer clubs. http://thesandtrap.com/forum/showthread.php?t=14885
Since reading that, I've stuck with standard wedges and am defintely happy with the decision looking back over the season.

"Pro - there is a big yardage gap between by PW and SW, 1/2 an inch on the SW would shorten the gap

Con - but I don't mind too much cos I hit a pretty good 3/4 PW

Con - extra length could mess up the weighting/balance of the club even tho I'd be getting them custom orderd from the factory - it's a concern

Con - more length means less control?

Pro - having a different lie than my irons probably isn't a good idea

Pro - I find it hard to hit a hard full SW - possibly because it's a short stick and I'm tall?"

He offered me the same deal for the mp52,57,62,67. I ended up changing & got the 52's for 2 main reasons. They are 1 year newer to market & they are a little more forgiving than the 57's.

I opted for the MP T series gap wedge with the same customs as the rest of the irons. I will keep my maxfli SW in the bag for bunker play. I am happy with this because I am ok with it from the sand but I can't hit it from the fairway as an approach iron.

I am thinking the PW & GW with the longer shafts will give me better approach options from 100-130 yds.

I went for midsized grips instead of oversized. Got the Golf Pride composite blue grips which I think are newish also.
