I've been looking around a new laptop for a while.
Haven't found all that many sites that will ship to Ireland.

    So far I've tried
    dabs.ie
    laptopsdirect.ie
    elara.ie
    misco.ie
    ebuyer.com
    overclockers.co.uk

Are there any other sites worth a look?
The strength of the € vs the £ makes the UK an attractive option.

laptopsdirect are not what you would call a decent laptop site, read around about all the scams like advertising in € then charging in £.

I've heard mixed things about them alright.
The currency thing isn't that much of an issue when their £ prices compared to € are pretty accurate when exchange rate is taken into account.
I do find the fact that they charge for recovery disks irritating.

Their prices are good though, and there are plenty of people on here who have had no trouble with them at all.

i have purchased one from www.ebuyer.com yesterday, if your interested in which i bought let me know and i will post it for you,

if you do go with them, checkout using their paypal or google checkout options as the ebuyer registration is aimed at the british market and is pretty difficult to get through, i.e they will only accept 11 digit phone numbers amonghst a few other difficulties that i had to call them up to sort out.

I think Overclockers ship to Ireland, never bought a laptop from them though, but they've been around for a long time.
