Were you speeding? Getting caught isn't the problem, breaking the limit is.

There appeared to have been an incident there last night some time around 10.30pm. I was pulling out of the car park at Matt Weldons and across the road, a double decker was pulled in with the hazards flashing and a car up on the footpath at an angle facing the wrong way. There were also two cop cars pulled up there.
Perhaps the bus and car collided due to the car speeding and thye decided to get the gatso out this morning...

No mystery about Ballymun Road and the Gatso van.
The recent Garda PR puff about locations which were to recieve special attention includes the Ballymun Road between Pappin`s Road and Mobhi Road.

Also eagle eyed motorists may well have noticed the shiny new Slow Down/Thank You Speed Sensitive Message signs which were installed there last week.

However of far greater danger then motorists exceeding 50KPH on a Dual Carriageway is the rapidly worsening Car parking problem just after DCU`s gate.

What happens here is that as the legal parking bay fills up the numpties simply abandon their cars on the active inner lane and head off to see their man about a dog.

The gas thing is how the Gatso Van usually captures far more stupidly dangerous parking immediately behind it than dangerously speeding cars but these imbiciles wont be ticketed.....Pro Active Policing...Garda Siochana style :D

Men, it has been well said, think in herds; it will be seen that they go mad in herds, while they only recover their senses slowly, and one by one.

yes the shiney new signs,i think they are not efficative especially the one coming out ot town,it is to small and surrounded with other signs and you think at first glance that it is part on the signs in the esso station i wonder do the people who decide the positions of signs ever look at them from a moving car,,
