Australian TV via Sat?

    Hey,
    Is it possible to pick up Australian television here in Ireland by use of some sort of dish? Someone said it was but i cant find much google wise...? if anyone cud point me in the general direction it would be greatly appreciated...

    A) The satellites are on opposite side of earth. You'd need a tunnel comming out india someplace.

    B) The beams of the Satellites point at Austrialia. So even a suitable angle of tunnel won't work.

    It shows "footprint" of where the satellite can be received and also it's at 152 E, we are at about 5W to 9W, = -160 degrees away.
    You can with a VERY large dish do as well as about + or -70degrees and then more you are blocked by east or west horizon.


    The red line on 2nd lower map is visual limit of Satellite. Outside that even the largest telescope or dish is blocked by the horizon.
