So after a night of letting this show sink in and to let the drink leave my system, a review of the show,

It was a BOMB, I think at the most there was 40 people in attendance, this was meant to be a BIG UCW revival, I didn’t show up till 8 and the look on Stevy shakers face when I walked in said it all poor bastard but what he expect to happen with an over 18 show and ticket prices at £12.

The show didn’t start to 8:30, he must have been holding out for more to show up but when ur doors are open is listed as 7pm with show starting at 8pm if ur crowd of any size hasn’t showed up then u know its bad given an hour for it to come together.

They got a new ring which was a surprise, I was expecting the huge ass PWU ring but no a much smaller 16 footer I think, it looked well.

Who ever was doing the entrance music needed shot in the face, as for like 1/2 the show most of the guys were coming out to the same music and leaven out to completely different music, Stevy was standing in the Dj box so if he was directing traffic he needs to be shot or shoot who ever he had doing the music.

Onto the show it self, It opened with a promo between Duncan & Jc Williams basically setting up a match for the night, was a bit weird hearing the cursing in the promos bit a throw back to ucw of old,

The first match was a tag match the Belfast knee breakers (looked to be JDP and Vice under masks) vs Rodd and tucker (they were called some tag name but never got it), the match was good, nice and simple heel and face, don’t remember who won I think it was rodd and tucker.

Next was a "HARDCORE" match between JDP and Kev Rocks, which didn’t even get hardcore at all, some stuff got done on the floor and a chair was used, for a UCW show the hardcore was more like "PUSSYCORE" I was expecting at least tabels, tacs, barbwire but got none of that.
Hell PWU has done more stuff that’s "hardcore" and there aiming there product towards families.
JDP won that match, for what it was it was a good brawl etc but felt let down on the Hardcore aspect.

Next was SSS vs Vice, SSS cut a long but some what entertaining promo, this match was the longest match of the night, and it was ok, SSS looks fantastic got a great look pity his in ring talent hasn’t improved, he’s not terrible or anything just feel like since UCW Days he hasn’t improved at all. Vice on the other hand performed really well,

short intermission of 5-10 mins, good time for a piss break,

Duncan vs JC Williams was up next and was easily the match of the night, these two worked very well together, Duncan looks fantastic, I heard he had gotten in great shape for the AWR tour and boy did he best ive ever seen him, the match went a decent length and never dragged unlike the SSS vs Vice match and it all ended with Duncan given JC a Vertebreaker smack dab in the middle of the ring folding him up nice and sick. Crowd was prob most into this match.

The next 2 matches were extremely short prob because of Stevy not starting the show till 8:30 kinda felt bad for the guys cause given time they can do allot of good stuff

The murder Squad (Machine & Toxic in matching gear with Sean south as manager) vs I think Tortilla Boys, who was clearly Jonny Stash in a Mask in his normal ring gear and El torro Sanchez in a singlet and mask,
it was over in a minute,
Toxic did a top rope frog splash onto Masked Stash and stash never moved an inch and the ref just randomly stopped counting after 2, every one knew the ref ****ed up, cause of this poor stash then got germaned out of his boots by machine for the 3 count, then southy gave him one murderous super kick,

Next up was Frankie Fever in an update from his 70's disco gimmick to 90's raver, vs Massacre (TRON as SUPER SCARY CLOWN); this was another squash match but lasted more than a minute, Massacre won,

Next was the rumble match to crown the new UCW champ, 20 people rumble with everyone from the show with Amy voltage thrown into the mix, Massacre won to become new UCW champ, Well he was the champ when UCW folded lol

All in all for meant to be UCW comeback bar Duncan’s match the show was horribly put together, I will never be back to another UCW show (hopefully there is no more) cause at £12 it wasn’t worth it, PWU at £5 put on much better show if only we can get Duncan on some PWU shows then things should be fine.

Id been told by a few people that this show was all Stevy shakers doing from the venue promoting etc and he’s only got one person to blame, and that’s himself. For a guy who’s been out of the scene for nearly 3 years last night it clearly showed.

Jeez. 40 people. Can't imagine that even covered the cost of the venue, nevermind the postering, flyering etc. not that there was much of that by the sounds of it.

    Pity.

The venue is called the Beach club hence the name,
Shows dont draw cause of bad advertising and over priced tickets.
