Hey...just wanted to ask...I have curly long hair past my shoulders..I've given my hair straightener the chop as my mam says my face looks gaunt :D...I want to get a haircut...I was contemplating cutting my hair just above my shoulders with a fringe..would it be a good idea to get a few layers put in?? as I want to wear it curly...THANKS any help would be fantastic as I have no clue

Not sure shorter or a fringe is the way to go, especially if you want to wear it curly. Kind of hard to tell without having even seen your hair, but I reckon your fringe would need strightening to some deree, unless you've got some really well behaved hair! Shorter is likely to make your hair curl more... Again, I don't know how curly/what type of curls you've got so I could be waaaay off!

DON'T DO IT !!! My friend had longish naturally curly hair and got it cut the way you describe layers and all , it just went mad tight curly and all the old women wanted to know "where she got her lovely perm" :D Needless to say she has been using straighteners since.

Ive curly hair past my shoulders. I got long layers cut into it with a sweeping fringe a few years ago and havent looked back since. I basically blow dry/ straighten the fringe/side sections and let the rest dry naturally. Honestly takes on 5 mins to do in the morn and I love it!! Best of both worlds as my full hair curly can look a tad unkempt doing its own thing

Similar to what I always get. Asking for a "sweep" kind of fringe is good because they sometimes cut the side fringe very short! On days when you can't straighten it the hair just bounces right up above you eyebrows and looks a bit silly.
