Seroxat/depression medication lawsuits

    I'm wondering about the legal issues surrounding the ill effects of SSRI psychiatric medications and whether there has been any case in Ireland to clarify the Irish law in this matter.
    http://www.paxilclaims.com/ is an American site with info on their class action lawsuits.
    As far as I know, legal actions in the UK led to changes in the box warnings to include the warning that suicidal and aggressive tendencies are a side effect of these meds.
    Hypothetically, if an Irish patient were prescribed this drug and had all the negative effects as claimed in America;
    1. Does our legal system have a procedure for making a similar claim?
    2. Has a suit been taken before and if so what was the outcome?
    3. Is the a statute of limitations in place for claims like this? It was in the late 90s that these drugs became fashionable.

    If this post is more suited to the long term illness forum feel free to move it.
