This happened back in September and I don't recall ever hearing about what eventually happened with the situation. I've searched google news and the likes and I can't find any news articles relating to how this incident panned out? Does anyone know what happened? Any reason why it may not have been reported on?

A blanket ban on reporting will take away a vital information feed for the pirates on board. Obviously, if there is some kind of rescue/assault being planned to retake the ship, they won't want the hijackers to know anything about it or who is involved.

    It was the MV FAINA

    Its still being held captive

"Another captured ship, the MV Faina, was seized by pirates in September and quickly cornered by U.S. warships. But since then, the U.S. crews have simply watched the Faina, its holds filled with weapons, to make sure its deadly cargo doesn't slip away to militants ashore. "

doesn't always work though does it, that IT worker and security guards captured and held hostage in iraq for year had d-notice put on them, one guy killed himself and now the families are breaching the d notice.

I can't believe it's still being held by the pirates! I wonder what they all do on board to keep themselves busy? That must be a group of seriously patient pirates. Thanks for the info

Perhaps I'm onto some global arms conspiracy, or a great plot for a movie starring jake gyllenhal
