Can being vaccinated twice harm a cat?

My friend has recently taken in a cat which she's pretty sure was somebody's pet and was dumped in her neighbourhood (the cat appeared from nowhere recently, she's rung round the pound / shelters etc and nobody's reported it missing, but it seems like a very friendly cat, used to being indoors and petted lots etc... can't understand why someone would dump her, but anyway...)

She found the cat inside her house (it came in through the catflap) and she's happy to let it come inside, but wants to get it vaccinated in case it brings disease into the house (to her other cat or indeed to her & her partner). But we're wondering, if the cat was vaccinated before when she was with her 'previous owner', whether being vaccinated a second time might harm her? She's going to bring it to the vet tonight anyway, but just thought I'd ask on here if anyone had any advice! Cheers!

Probably not as a vaccination produces antibodies. A second vaccination would just produce more antibodies*

*Not medical advice and may depend on type of vaccination.

They only thing that might happen is that the cat might get a touch of flu but its no biggie just like humans getting vacs. No harm at all.
