Did anyone see that there was a Sligo person that was listed as being a member of the far right British National Party on that list that was leak and has been all over the papers.

I have to say I was genuinely shocked about this.

I saw this also. Shocked at the three Irish names/details on the list. Does anyone know him (the name and address are on various sites/forums)

I've never heard of him but then again I am from town and not south of the county.

Same as that; never been to that village in my life.

There was a guy who ran for the UUP a few years back. Could be the same crank again. Can't remember who he was though.

There are Irish people in the BNP? Aren't BNP's policies essentially, if you're not British then fúck you (e.g. complete crackdown on immigration and putting british people first). How could anyone not British be stupid enough to join a party like that? It just boggles the mind.

The BNP is also a racist white supremacist organisation. So if your a skinhead it makes sense to join them. Well, actually no it boggles the mind. I would assume these are either english ex pats or just plain racist nutjobs. Also the BNP views Ireland(all of it) as being part of the UK so they're more than happy to accept irish members.

Just been googling the Dublin guy. He's into fantasy sci-fi novels apparently. That's nice.

"So if your a skinhead it makes sense to join them." .....first of all, please dont add to ignorance here. I moved to england when i was 18 where i lived for 13 years and last year i moved back to ireland. I would say that the majority of the BNP membership is actually middle class england with its pockets of areas where it flourishes. The vast majority of english people hate these idiots and their caveman views. Its no surprise to me that they have sympathisers dotted around.............frankly, im much more upset that we have people living in and around us viewing child pornography and paedophiles walking the streets.

Pretty much beat me to it
BNP do/did run 2 newspapers, one their version of the sun circulated to the meat heads other was there version of business post, circulated around their middle class and middle managment types.
One full of hate and lies, one full of job opps within BNP

OOH and Simi, you actually know what a proper skinhead is?

Clue: Bob Marley was one at one stage!

true not all skinhrad are racists or even right wing. I like ska music and a lot of skins and rude boys are left wing. And there are a lot of colored skins aswell.

I appear to be the only person in Ireland who hasn't seen the address. Considering the amount of English people living here, its not too surprising one or two daft ones end up here. Law of averages an' all..
