Stockholm to Nykoping for 7am

I need to get from Stockholm City Centre to Nykoping for 6am on Tuesday 9th Dec. I then need to allow for taxi time to airport from Nykoping.

Basically I have a flight out of Stockholm Vasteras airport taking off at 0730.

I'd really rather not have to travel to the airport the night before. The latest trains on Monday 8th Dec I can find are 2130 getting in at 2348. The earliest trains I can find on Tuesday is leaving at 0617 and arriving 0720.

    Any ideas? Thanks

Best I can find is with www.flygbussarna.se on a bus leaving Stockholm City Centre at 0410 and arriving at the airport for 0540. This costs €15. Not bad but still looking for other options if anyone has experience :)

yes we used that bus service last month in the evening though. I would say its the easiest- saves getting a train & then taxi ,if you can even get one at that time!

I'm gonna opt for the bus I think. Does it go from central train station? Do Metros run at that hour to get to the bus?

yes central station which is absolutely huge! So leave early to make sure you can find bus terminal.
    Not sure about metros, sorry.

cityterminal and bus station is all the one building but the airport bus that you need is on the west side off a street Kungsgaten a bus for skavsta airport cost 150 sek a bus leaves at 3.40 in the morning but double check as there is seasonal changes
the only thing i would recommend as i stayed in it is to book into the connect hotel across the road from the airport i stayed in it ,
cost for room 550 sek including continetial breaky room very basic with bunk beds, bit on tiny side but serious value the deal is known as rest and go,breaky is from 4 in morning ,also a bar in the evening you can have a beer or coffee ,
skavsta airport is about 10 min from nykoping green bus
since the new hotel opened in june , sleeping rough in the airport is as good as banned, signs everywhere saying so ,not worth the hassle of swedish police with guns

it is a small airport the only other tip i would give ya is have some swedish cash with ya so you avoid the Money changing shop known as forex,
i got caught here that i missed the bus to stockholm and had to wait a few hours to get next one

    airport www.skavsta.se

RIght so I've pretty much decided that I'm gonna get the bus (as it really seems to be the only option!) I mentioned above. Seems to do the job for me.

I guess I'll just have to have a look at some maps etc of the station and surrounding area to make sure I can find it.

Then I'm gonna have to look at the best way to get to the Central Train Station at half 3 in the morning.

no panic in geting to bus station, basically the bus from skanska airport will drop you off at the same place that you have to depart from ,you might have to move up a few yards but basically it is in the same place cul de sac, also the bus will have timetables leaflets about departures, you might check out better as the timetables changed in oct 28
regarding taxi i got a guide book about stockholm saying there is cowboys going around as taxis ,so book with reputable firm

i won't be flying into this airport so i won't have the benefit of knowing where the bus from the airport drops me.

The bus terminal is pretty easy to find its called Cityterminalen and is located in the same place as the T-Centalen where all the metro trains go thru. Once you get off one of the trains in t-centralen the Cityterminalen is sign posted for you.

We got an early bus to the main bus terminal which was bang on time (unlike Irish transport!).

Then the bus left for the airport on time and I woke up 90 mins at the airport.

    Job done. !
