Google chrome hasn't worked for me on network either. But sure no big deal really, just use firefox!

    For msn : http://isservices.tcd.ie/internet/messenger.php

works fine for me. If you have IE7+ up and running on wifi then chrome uses the same settings

When Chrome first came out and I downloaded it it used an online installer which didn't work on the college network.

I just googled "google chrome offline installer" and got it working.

Are you having trouble installing it or running it?

For msn go into options and connectivity (i think) and you'll have to put your username and password in (college username and password not msn ones). Chrome should work too with IE settings

Mine worked when I did the following:

Hit the spanner button -> Options -> Under the hood -> Change proxy settings -> lan settings -> tick the box "Use proxy server for you lan"

    Address: proxyb.tcd.ie Port: 8080

Hit advanced and make sure the "Use the same proxy for all protocols" is ticked.
