Hi all. Quick question to all you experts. Our normal day off is Monday. For the last few years we have never worked Christmas Eve. This year our employer asked us to work the Monday and we said yes as we assumed it would mean an extra days hols as usually happens. However they have said no as we have C Eve off. Think they have set a precedent by giving us it off previously. Any ideas?:)

They may have set a precedent but unfortunately they have now decided that you are no longer getting this as a "free" day. More and more companies are now doing this

It all depends what's written in your contract to be honest.
