Canada. Some questions if you will.

Is it cheap for any sort/brand of clothing??

Is Clinique as cheap there as people make out?? Are any other cosmetic brands in anyway bargainous over there??

Is there anything there thats really nice and worth a look shopping wise??

Is it good for shopping generally??

Do they do Uggs there(i'm sure they do) and are they as good value as in the states??

Is it generally as good value as the states?? And are the clothes as casual if you know what I mean??

I know somebody who is now over and back there quite a bit and I may be forced to give him some canadian dollars and send him to do some shopping for moi:D;)

MAC is cheaper than in the states as it's a Canadian company.

I found when I was there (although it was 4 years ago) the clothes were cheaper than the States and the shops had nicer clothes in them. I lived in Chicago at the time and there is definitely a difference in the range of clothes shops in Canada (well Toronto anyway). Canada is better!! I can't think of any particular brands.

Clinique is much cheaper there, about 50/60% of what it is here.

Also designer clothes (especially DKNY etc) are cheaper iirc

I agree. Clinique is cheaper over there as are most brands/labels, even many of the American ones. I had a much nicer experience of shopping in Canada than in the US.

    Sweet:D

I had a feeling that Clinique and MAC would be quite cheap there as they are both originally Canadian.

He may be getting a shopping list;)

I lived in Toronto until recently and I found clothes and cosmetics to be a lot cheaper, what kind of shops do you like here and I can think of a few comparisons for you?

I don't know if you want Uggs in particular, I had a pair of Bearpaws, exact same except the outside of them is a tougher suede than the Uggs (which I loved because I would ruin Uggs), they were $80 compared to $200+ for Uggs.

yea shopping is very good. They have all the american shops such as abercrombie, etc.
They also have sephora for all the cosmetics.

Well, see, I sort have eclectic taste. i see you're in Galway so i'll use our local shops as an example!!

Work wise, I have to be suited and booted, now clothes like this can come from a myriad of places but genrally I would mix and match say zara, with maybe a good italian suit or summat. I generally wouldn't do much suit shopping in galway; there aint much of a selection.

When I'm not in work, as in casual, I love stuff from the likes of Identity, sort of trendy, funky, yet comfy. Dressy/night out wise, I have been known to treat myself to the occassional dress from demora. I have a look in most places in Galway really, its a town for shopping for 'bits' as opposed to anything.

I like sort of edgy clothes I suppose. Vivienne Westwood, Moschino, that sort of thing...sort of smart with an undertone if you know what i mean:confused:

Plan is only to pack my absolute favourite clothes and do major shopping when I get there!!!

Been to toronto a few times and usually go to Niagara and cross over to buffalo in the U.S. to go shopping. Great outlet mall there with everything you could ask for at really good prices.
