Photography magazine/Book

Hi,
Want to get a gift of photo mag subscription but need a recommendation as to the best one- all I know is that the person is into digital, likes photo shop and has a very fancy looking Canon! Sorry that's all I know. Would love a recommendation for book about photo shop too please. thanks

The one i always get is Digital SLR Photography. Its a english magazine but you can get in anywhere.

I'd certainly agree with Photoicon. I buy several different magazines occasionally but I subscribe to this one. It's an excellent magazine. I also enjoy reading Outdoor Photography, it has great ideas and portfolios but it's references for locations are all in England, which is a pity.
