    Greetings fellow brothers.

It is with a heavy heart and an enormous sense of anger that I come before you with the news that Australia has succomed to the new-age 'metro'.

Aussie male under threat by beautified metrosexuals

FORGET the whales - it's time to save the Aussie male.

A national survey has found the hard-drinking, straight-talking male is under threat.

The research, commissioned by Barons Brewing, suggests a rise in the number of champagne-drinking metrosexuals more interested in hair products than their mates.

Fathering and relationships had affected mateship and 75 per cent surveyed said men were more likely to take champagne and cheese to a barbecue than beer and meat.

"If the trends continue there'll nothing but weak handshakes and pink frocks," Barons Brewing CEO Scott Garnett said.

The survey of 500 Australians by McCrindle Research found eight out of 10 respondents thought men spent more time on their appearance than a decade ago.

Sixty per cent said men prefered to meet at cafes rather than pubs, while 50 per cent said men were more likely to do yoga than play footy or cricket.

Mr Garnett said women were the strongest advocates of the savethemales.com.au campaign: "Single women are crying out that it's almost impossible to find a real man."

How long before this epidemic spreads to the northern hemisphere? Is there a contingency plan in place?

I may need to book a flight out of here......

If this phenomenon does indeed spread to our part of the world, then this forum will become a refuge for all real men. Never will champagne, wine or cheese cross the threshold of Yore Ma's.

Just speaking of champagne, I was watching 'Veronica Guerin' last night and when Brian Meehan goes to the bar at the racecourse to get a drink he calls the bar man over 'hey you, champagne, now'. Hilarious stuff

    BGRH is the contingency plan.

We've had our fair share of metro's trying to "educate" us. We've even had one of our own veer into the jaws of metrosexualism, only to be saved by stern words, a few slaps to the head and the submission to a strong woman.
But we have made them see the light and the errors of their ways and shown them that the BGRH lifestyle is far superior to the metro Lifestyle Choice.

This has been a problem in Oz now for a while as far as I'm aware!

The Aussies?! Of all people! I'd expect this from the French but not the lads from the southern hemisphere.

Wondering how many posts it took for that to come up.

    Anyways, sentiments well agreed with.
