XBL Question

    I signed up for XBL last week but it still showed me as being "silver". I was gonna try out the "gold" for the month before buying a 12 month pack. But theres no option to upgrade my membership to gold when I sign into XBL... Any ideas?
    Would I be better off creating a new XBL ID to get this?

    Did you do the 1 month free trial? When setting up a gamertag, decline gold and then it will ask you do you want a 1 month free trial.
