Sorry if your not supposed to post threads like this here.

I'm in 6th year and trying to choose between various different Arts/Spanish courses to do at 3rd level. I'm just wondering does anyone here do or know anyone who does Spanish? And if so what is the course like as regards looking to become fluent and have a deep understanding of the language?

I'm aware Spanish must be done in conjunction with another TSM subject but I'm mainly looking for information on the Spanish course

    Thanks

I'm in my second year of TSM,doing Spanish with Irish. Spanish is really enjoyable! In first year you have classes in grammar, oral, listening comprehension, text analysis,Spanish literature and modern Spanish history. The course is really focused on fluency in the language and although I began as a non-beginner, having done Spanish for all of secondary school, I've found my Spanish has greatly improved. Some of the lecturers are natives aswell which is really helpful!

Thanks, I've looked at all the literature about the course that I can find so it's great to actually hear from people actually on the course. Hopefully the upcoming open day will be helpfull aswell.
