Dole Christmas Double Payment

    Hi,

I just read a thread regarding the Christmas double payment and it stated that in order to be eligible for the Double week, if you were on JA as opposed to JB, you had to be long term unemployed (390 days or more).

Does "long term unemployed" refer to actual time unemployed or time on Jobseekers Allowance (as opposed to Jobseekers Benefit)?

I've been long term unemployed, for more than 390 days, but only recently did JB run out for me.
Ive since been transferred to JA over the past month or two.

Also, when does the double payment occur, is it the 1st week in december?

Cheers if anyone has any info,

    AB

I'd say you would be eligible as you've been on an unemployment payment for over 390 days. Its only people who have been only on JA & for under 390 days it will affect.

Yes the payment is paid 1st week of dec.
